Di resin chamber dry when not in use?

I just changed my sediment and carbon yesterday. My question is with the water in the DI chamber. There is no more water in there now when I shut off the water to the DI chamber. I know there was water before.

I have a T after the membrane for my drinking water and a shut off valve going into DI

But now when I shut off that valve, the water in the DI chambers emptied out

Should it be dry like that?
I don't remember it being dry.
Will it be ok to be stored dry then?

your di discharge is lower than the entire filter, so the water is siphoned out of that chamber. It should be fine, you arent sucking in air. There is probably a couple of negative PSI built up in the filter because of this. If everything else is working, I would leave it.

Yes its fine.
When I make 275 gallons of water to fill my storage unit I take the unit apart.
The di never really drys out like the other 2 even when its apart.
I prefer to have them off the unit.
I only use the unit every couple months.
