DI resin expires?

Good question..I usually buy my DI resin from BRS,it comes in vacuum sealed foil packaging for a single resin canister change with an expiration date on it..
If you bought a big bag or container and opened it in the past, then I would be curious to know the answer your looking for too..

It most definitely expires. The pictures you provided show color changing DI resin. When it changes to the rust color it's expired.
Do you have a TDS meter on your RO/DI unit? Typically when your TDS on the outflow side reaches 1-3, it's time to change it.
Stored DI resin in a bag, as long as it's sealed to keep the outside air/moisture out, should last years.

It can go bad as CO2 enters it and depletes the anion binding resin.

It does expire as soon as it comes into contact with air it starts to slowly deplete that's why they come in vacuum seal bags as long as it's vacuum sealed it should be okay for an extended period. Not sure the shelf life though.

Depends on the packaging. The foil is intended to stop CO2, but I'm not certain how effective it is over long periods.

Ok so i changed it and it gave me 0 tds. I will try to vacuum seal the bag to prevent the rest from going bad.

Bringing back to life.. My color changing resin has been stored in foil and in two zip block bags and it's currently not aiding my membrane at all in reducing the last 3 tds could it have expired?

Confirmed my resin had expired - I had a cartridge leftover from ro buddie and when I threw that on perfect 0 tds right away..
