Is it safe to use RO/DI intended for spotless car washing usable in our units? A zero TDS should be a zero TDS, right? Or no?

The contents are listed as:
  • Sulfonated polymer of styrene, ethylstyrene and divinylben(+ something, missing some letters) hydrogen form
  • Trimethylamine functionalized copolymer of styrene and divinylbenzene in the dydroxide form
  • water

DI resin is made up of tiny plastic beads which are positively or negatively charged so they attract contaminants. The ingredients you list are the plastic beads.
As Iong as it is 0 TDS that's about all you need to be concerned with.
My concern would be, the car washing systems I have seen use resin for softening the water via ion exchange, not for deionization so the TDS is still there. I would check it with a good handheld TDS or electrical conductivity meter.

This unit said something about "This is not a softener", but I don't know if that means anything. I have several TDS meters... I will test it on them all. LOL. Thanks!

The @ feature on here is the BOMB!

Just in case someone isn't familiar with the product I'm talkign about and I worded it wrong....

I have DI Resin (not an RO/DI like I worded it above) that is used in a car washing canister system. Our water is especially hard and we are too lazy to dry the car after. This is a wash and walk product.

I'm reading reviews and people are saying it was zero TDS, so that's a good sign, right? I'm out of my regular resin and I need a few spoonfuls to fill the canister completely.
