Diagnosis blotches on Emperor Angelfish

I've treated the tank with erythromycin for bacterial infection, but thought I'd get a second opinion. The blotches started coming up about 3 days ago.

You're gonna need an antibiotic stronger than erythromycin for that.

First step would be to perform a 90 min acriflavine (or Ruby Reef Rally) bath: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/acriflavine.282887/

After that, back into QT and treat with one of the following:

• Nitrofuracin Green Powder
  
• Kanaplex + Furan-2 + Metroplex

I have on hand Metro MS and also some Metro+ I do have the Acriflavine MS also. I don't have any of the sea chem products. I also have Maracyn and Maracyn II.

Alright, Angelfish is in a Acriflavine bath. Found Kanaplex and Furan-2 at a LFS. I used Metro MS with those in a 10 gallon hospital tank. My QT has 4 other fish in it and is 80 gallons so didn't want to treat it unless I must. Other fish don't show any symptoms.

That will work. Monitor closely. You'll want to do a water change every other day and follow that up with redosing the meds. Do this for a minimum of 10 days straight.

Has this fish undergone either CP or Copper treatment? Large angels, emperor in particular, present this way when they have velvet. My strains of velvet that didn’t show spots on the fish and only impacted the gills of my large angel tank did this to 4 emperor angels before I figured out the culprit. They only survived 3-7 days, and they got progressively worse before dying. Once they started hiding, it was over.

He had already undergone copper back in December with his tank mates. They all had velvet. He was in QT with PBT, Aussie Tusk, Foxface and only the PBT died of velvet, first that showed symptoms. I kept them under copper for 4 weeks. Then did a large water change and observed all January and February, nothing came back.

Any additions since? Even rock, coral, inverts, or anything wet?

Nothing since I added them all together on one shipment of fish. They've been in QT since November. I was just debating on how to add them to my DT to avoid aggression and saw the infection on the EA. Now i'll wait another week until the infection clears up.
