Well, I have 4 tangs, 1 chromis, 2 clownfish, and two cardinals in a QT tank. I recently put them through cupramine treatment for ich. 2 of the tangs keep swimming into the powerhead. I can't remember if this is a sign of velvet or flukes.

Should I do another round of Cupramine or go with Prazi?

Thanks for the help!

Swimming into the flow of a powerhead is a sign of velvet. How long did you treat for and what was your copper level? Did you test daily to ensure the copper level was always therapeutic?

So I tried to make sure, but cupramine does not show up very well in salifert kits. I dosed the recommended amount per the bottle instructions.

Following the directions usually underdoses, which would explain why velvet is still present.

Perhaps you would find Coppersafe + API copper test kit easier to read.

As I said, I treated it like ICH, and my DT is fishless. Do I still leave it that way for 76 days?

I would, yes, just to play it safe. Going fallow for ich vs. velvet only tacks on an additional 34 days.
