Hi everyone
So have this bristletooth tang that’s just finished 14 days TTM and I was doing a final inspection and noticed these lumps. The whole time he’s been in quarantine I haven’t noticed anything suspect. I’ve left him in there for now might continue TTM for longer and see if they progress

No other spots or signs anywhere and the fins are clear. No other issues like scratching or heavy breathing..

I’m not sure if this is ich or if the nodes are too big - maybe lymph? I don’t believe it’s flukes as he’s also gone through 2 prophylactic rounds of prazipro and a freshwater dip (no flukes were present)

Anyone have any ideas?

I'd agree with lymph. But the reddish ring around it in the second last photo means it could be a bacterial infection and/or lymph for that one.

Hard to tell but I think the second photo looks like it is bacterial. Did you add anything recently to your tank? Is the tang displaying any strange behavior? Is he still eating? Keep a close eye on it. You could anyways start feeding furan, neoplex, kanaplex + focus in the food 2 x daily to be proactive against possible infection.

Thanks. He’s been in quarantine since I got him by himself so nothing added. He’s completed 5 tank transfers so I’m ready to put him into the display if he hasn’t got any parasites just wanting to make sure

He’s not acting strange and he is eating like a pig so no issues there

yeah I thought that may be the case for that one.
