I’ve got all my fish in QT right now (3 tanks total; 55 gal, 65 gal, & a 10 gal) both the 55 and 65 are running copper. Everyone in the 55 is doing ok for now. But everyone in the 65 is kind of struggling. So I have two questions;
The first is realtated to my flame angel who has terrible fin rot which I’m treating separate in the 10 gal with doxycycline (this is all I could get my hands on, The package says this is for fresh water... will it work for marine fish?) I also have Melafix but not sure if that will help at much...?
The second is my yellow eye tang, he’s got something going on with him that I’m not too sure about. Here’s some pics if you guys could help I’d this I’d be very greatful.
My biggest problem is identifying the ailment. If I could get that down I’d be doing a little better at this.
Here a list of what I have on hand;
Kordon Methylene Blue
Kordon Malachite green
Seachem Paraguard
Seachem Cupramine
Seachem Garlic Guard
Hikari Prazipro
Hikari Metro
Hikari Ich-X
API Melafix
API Fin & Body Cure (250 mg Doxycycline)
API Stress Coat
Also, anything you can think of that I’m lacking in my arsenal of medications please let me know. Not having it on hand is not worth loosing a fish over.
All fish have been dipped in freshwater with methylene blue as per instructed on the bottle (50ppm dip for ten seconds) temp and pH match tank. I’ve thought ten seconds is a little short but it says it’s toxic for any longer so that’s what I’ve done...
