Diagnosis?

This was about three days ago.

This was yesterday.

I've seen him scratch once. He's been in the tank for a week. Eats like a pig. No one else shows these symptoms.

I'm currently feeding out of my aqua medic fish trap incase he/everyone needs to be pulled. But I'm hoping this is nothing.

No, he wasn't qt'd.

With the amount of "spots" I would lean more towards velvet. Hopefully @Humblefish or @melypr1985 can give you a more definitive answer.

Hmmm... I had ruled velvet out because of the time frame. It's been a week 0 deaths.

Talk to me about treament then. Cupramine I've found online, what else can be used? I'd prefer to not go the copper route if possible.

I dipped mine in cupramine, the feed Metroples Vitamarin-m Aminomega in the food and bound the feed mix with focus to build there immune system.

If it is on the skin try to do a fresh water dip, few minutes should give you results.
Make sure the PH and temp is the same or really close to the same.

You don't know if it's velvet right?
But a fresh water dip does miracles to saltwater fish.
It will rid of most all parasites.

^^This, although brook is also possible. All fish need to be QT'd and treated with copper. I would also give each & every fish either a formalin or acriflavine bath prior to entering QT, just in case this is brook.

So, the spots change during the day. At 7pm yesterday there were no spots. At 8:30, there were many. I watched him bump into an angel in my tank and a spot fell off.

I think it's possible that this is just sand from cramming himself into holes.

No other fish exhibits current symptoms. It's been 8 days.
Velvet surely would've killed this fish by now. No? He's eating well and very active.

If a spot fell off, that would probably just be sand. However, what I'm seeing on your blenny in the second pic looks too small to be sand. Unless you have sugar sand?

It was unwashed dry special grade.
