I discovered my diamond gobby dead at the bottom of his QT this morning. He was undergoing TTM with a small foxface and this was day 4 following the first transfer yeasterday evening.
Up to this point he looked great. My suspicion is he got stung by the foxface. See what appears to be a puncture mark and redness on his side. If it were not for the puncture mark I would suspect a nasty bacteria infection.

+1 to sounds like you have it figured out. Sorry for the loss :(

Sorry for the loss. I concur, this is an injury-related death :(

I just posted about this with my midas.

I saw your post and thought it must be an outlier. I am beginning to wonder if getting the foxface was a mistake. He’s doing great on QT right now. Eats just about anything I put in the tank.
Me too. Everyone I asked locally was shocked at the story. Maybe they are evolving to more aggressive.
