Diamond Goby in QT with sore

I have a pair of Diamond Gobies that have been in my QT tank for 3 days now. I just noticed the smaller of the 2 has a red sore with white spots inside it on its head. Also, the eye looks red and irritated. I didn't notice this until today when I got home.

Both fish have been eating. I've been target feeding 3x a day with a syringe, one feeding a day being medicated (TDO chroma boost mixed with API General Cure and Focus as a binder). Other feedings have mainly been spirulina baby brine.

QT tank is a 20g with HOB, heater set to 79F, Seachem ammonia badge, PVC elbows, and a shallow bowl of sand. Salinity is 1.025

Posting to YouTube and then putting the link here works well for videos.

From what I can see, this is an injury associated lesion that has a secondary bacterial infection. Are the gobies getting along well?
You could dose the tank with a broad spectrum gram negative antibiotic. The GC and focus won’t help with this.

The gobies get along great, they stick together almost always. They were sold as a bonded pair.

Would API Erythromycin be effective? I live in a very rural area, no saltwater stores within hours. There are a few local pet stores with fish supplies, and I think I could get the API Erythromycin in the morning. Thanks for your help!

Erythromycin wouldn't be my top pick, but we do use it for bacterial eye issues. Maracyn 2, Furan-2 or Neoplex might work better.

Monitor the ammonia level in any tank that you have dosed with an antibiotic, for about a week after the treatment.

dont panic; it doesnt seem too bad. Its not uronema, just seems like its mildly hurt or infected. Take jays advice and use one of the meds, preferably furan-2

The smaller goby with the sore on its head died Tuesday. Now, the other goby that was not previously showing signs of being injured has similar red spots on its face. Looks like bruising, no broken skin. I dosed the tank with Erythromycin Tuesday and Wednesday, since that is all I could find locally and ordered Maracyn Two online. Today, I did a 25%WC (5gal) and dosed the Maracyn Two according to instructions. I plan on continuing this for the full 5 days as instructed. I'm still feeding the medicated food with API GC for potential internal parasites. Fish is readily accepting food. No readings of ammonia. Water still at 1.025 AND 79F.
