We had a diamond back goby for years. It finally squeezed out of our screened lid one day however. We were heartbroken enough not to get another fearing the same fate.

We've now upgraded to a 125 gallon system and it has a full canopy.

Wondering if it is possible to purchase a diamond goby pair? I don't think they pair with shrimp.

I don't believe they do pair with shrimp - AFAIK, the sand-sifters don't.

I'm not aware of anyone offering "bonded pairs", though I suppose you might see them on Divers' Den some evening.

If you see two of them acting like a pair at your LFS, and you're feeling lucky, well . . .

Agree with Maritimer. I haven’t found any information on sexing diamond gobies. Amongst a bunch of gobies at the LFS, look for two that have paired up. Usually one smaller than the other and following each other as they sift. And then make sure your lid is tight, and then add another lid on top of that one :). Good luck.
