Diamond Goby

I have a spotted watchman. He's been great. Always looks grumpy. Paired right up with my pistol shrimp. He'll eat just about anything. Easy fish to keep.

What size tank?

They like to move sand around a lot. They'll dig holes all over the place, fill them up, etc. I like mine because it's constantly stirring up the sandbed. But at the same time, the smaller particles can get thrown up into the water and blown around a little.

Yellow watchman are also cool. They don't move around sand much and can pair with shrimp. A diamond goby doesn't pair with shrimp.

No. They need a sand bed with enough biomass (either dead or alive) to sustain itself. That being said, you can spot feed them or bury shrimp in the sand, and they tend to eat voraciously. I'm keeping one temporarily in an four month-old Evo build with one big rock it can't tip over. Still, many reefers have reported a high die-off rate with these in anything less than a large, established tank. I suppose it just depends if you can get one which will accept any foods it doesn't find in the sandbed.

They are easy to take care of imo, it just depends on what size of tank you are getting. It also depends on what else you plan to stock, make sure you need a decent sized sand bed for them to dig down in. Also make sure when you scape your tank you do the rocks first then the sand around it so the rocks don't come crashing down.
