Hi guys

my orange spotted goby is a normal goby in the daytime, he sifts, hides, burrows, spits sand… chills… etc.

At night, he is in the corner/against the side glass of the tank, swimming frantically up and down.

why is this, is he chasing his own reflection from the light leak in the fuge?

Couldn’t get your video to work but when I had a diamond goby he would swim frantically up and down before he was going to jump out of tank. He jumped out 5-6 times after doing that.

He hasn’t jumped yet. He only does this at night I just get the feeling he’s chasing his reflection from the light leak from the fuge. How do I get a video from my iPhone to work?

I can view your video, kinda dark though.
Anyways, does your goby have a cave? Mine normally an hr before lights out starts to bury the entrance to his cave. About 10 minutes before lights out, he goes in his cave and completely blocks the entrance.
One time, i did see him about 3 minutes before lights out and he was frantically trying to hide. I guess he forgot where his cave was. I didn't check if he ever found his cave or if he was trying to chase his own shadow.
