Randy...treated my 10 with F. because of a ton of bryopsis...that cured that...now I can barely keep up with diatoms on the glass...corals and fish seem fine...I'll rechange my filter medila...any more suggestions...thanks...Ken;Pompus

After the fluconazole I had a minor increase in other algaes an some cyano.
I attributed this to the now increased dissolved organics as well as the added nutrints from the bryopsis.
The bryo also acts as a nutrient export so to speak.
After several water changes and some good cleaning it gone back to normal.

Double check that it's diatoms, that's an odd appearance. It possible the bryo was absorbing either silicates or feeding on the diatoms directly. Apperantly bryo has the ability to catch and feed on solids it traps.
