Okay, not sure if this is considered a tank emergency but here goes...

What I am getting:
Brown fuzzy algae growing on the dry rocks and growing/spreading quickly. Started several days ago.

What I have:
New tank. 130 gallon bow front.
Day 1 of my Tank Cycle was 10/7/2018
140 lbs. of dry rock, 40 lbs. of live sand, 2 bottles of live bacteria, Red Sea Coral Pro Salt.
Salinity @ 1.024 , PH 8.2
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate still @ 0
water temp. set @ 76* but reading 78*
2 live small Damsels alive and happy about 1 week.
and RODI water.
My A1 Primes were set at 8 hours a day @ 50% per my LFS.

LFS says this is Diatom Algae. All part of the cycle process let it go should disappear in 2 weeks.

Another good reefer friend suggested to "black out" or "cut back" my A1 Primes.... so they are currently set @ 5 hours a day @ 15%.

Suggestions please?????

I have a twenty six and ran it normal during cycling. Diatoms did show up but eventually cleared.
