diatom bloom over new algae

The diatom bloom is gone in my 55 gallon. Been setup about a month.

I have 4 aesterea snails and 9 hermit crabs as a cuc and a pair of clowns in the tank.

The diatoms are gone but I'm getting some brownish green algae on the glass that has short fuzzy hair on it. I know its part of the cycle, but what can I do to take care of it? More snails?

Scraping the glass is the only thing that's gets it all. It's just a necessary part of tank maintenance unfortunately.

You'll want to look for more grazer snails. Turbos are the go to. Turbans , astrea, and stomatella.

hopefully my lfs will get something in.

I'll swing by after work one day this week.

Or maybe I'll just leave it alone and see if it clears up with what I have.
