I bought a bag of diatom powder from the farm supply store. I got diatom powder all over the tank. Nothing is hurt but after using it to polish the water ive got diatoms growing for weeks now. I haven't tested silicates yet but i suspect a slow release from the reamaining powder which i cant see anywhere now. Kind of annoying because ill clean the glass and diatoms are back in a few hours on the glass! Its definitely diatoms not dinos. What should i do? Lol
