Diatom problem

So I was told I needed to add more rock to my tank to get some higher levels . So I added some rock . (Wasn’t enough. I started noticing a broom in brown algae. ) needed more so I added a lottt more . And bam. My tank is now completely covered in brown algae stringy. Most of my fish have ick. My corals aren’t out the way they were before. And diatoms are starting to cover all my coral.. what do i do ?

how old is your tank? It looks very new, sounds like the beginning of the ugly stages, which is normal. Diatoms followed by other aglae. It takes a while for the tank chemistry to stabilise, give it some time.

Add a clean up crew (I find urchins to be particularly effective).
Try blacking out your lights for a few weeks.
If you have reef lights introduce coralline algae. It'll help out compete the diatoms.

As for the ick. I find that adding garlic to the food seems to help. Also water changes will help remove the parasite from the water column.

Roughly 3 months old was doing good till I added new rock to it. Is there anything I can do to help get rid of it. My main concern is the fact that I am seeing ick all over my fish Which shouldn’t affect fish also that the diatoms are covering my coral which is keeping them from coming out

The tank is roughly 3 months old can I still add an urchin this soon? Which kind do you recommend?

You should be able to so long as you don't plan on adding copper based medications to the tank.
As for what kind, go with the prettiest you can find. Personally, I like the Tuxedos, although I've never owned them (I have pincushions). Just beware that urchins like to carry things on their back. I occasionally have to take loose coral frags away from them.
Get a couple of trochus snails too (they're the most recommended snail by everyone).
