lights come on at 1pm and turns off at 9pm

i do have a hob filter running carbon and filter floss just to help out .
i do weekly 20 percent water changes but no matter if i clean the tank spotless it just comes back a few hours later. when whites go out diatom starts disappearing , and morning no diatom but light's turn on and the tank gets cover with it i already did 2 20 percent water changes this week and no luck removing it.
tank is just few months old cycles with cured live rock around 5 pounds of it corals look great
and coloring up as well:).
any ideas of how to fix this problem i will check phosphates later have a great night ...any help will be appreciated..

Diatom's are fairly common during the early stages of a tank. You likely dont need to do anything. Do you have a CUC? A lot of snails will eat the diatoms up for you.

do be honest it looks like dino as i just noticed right now bubbles and some brown hair that is attached to the buble they look like ballons ...
how can i get rid of it if its dino

Does it recede at night while your lights are off and come back during lights on?

What kind of sand do you have?

FWIW it could be dinos that most likely hitch hiked on a coral. However, the tank is still maturing and it could very well go away without any intervention. I would get an idea of nutrients and base your water changes on that. You may not have to do as many as you are(for now;)).

To me it looks like Diatoms but... (lol) I could be wrong :D

I’m going with cyano.

It’s probably just a phase. Add some good bacteria like dr Tim’s or bio spira.

Check the rodi water.

"Blackout for 72 hrs(3days), you may have to do this once a month till all goes away" per Humblefish. This works.

thanks to answers all questions i use rodi water that i make test water every time at 0 ppm..
it does go away at night and looks spotless and comes back when light turn on..
i was thinking also cyano bu does not look red maybe lightning makes it look not red i do have some cemiclean i used in the past for cyano...
u guys think a black out would work or maybe reducing the photosynthetic period instead to less hours ? i doit nine a day
