Diatoms? And removal?

Well I just did a 5 gallon water change. I'll mix up more salt soon. It does look better but I guess we will see if it progresses or regresses. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

Already looks a lot better. I’d do another larger one or a couple more 5 gallon changes over the next week and hopefully you’re on your way to a healthy tank after that...and by healthy tank I mean the rest of the new tank ugly stages haha. Happy to help. :)

Is the filter in your HOB system getting dirty really quickly with whatever this is in your water? Or is it not filtering any of this out? What livestock do you have in the tank? I see a clown, how is it doing through all this? Did this happen shortly after adding the carbon filter to the HOB system? Did you rinse the carbon before putting it in the HOB system?

I'm guessing a bacterial bloom, but that's just a guess based on the small amount of data we have about your tank.

The filter is pretty dirty, I replaced it not long ago. It seems to be super fine particulate that my filter wont pick up. Bloom happened before I added additional carbon. I just have a clown, some snails and hermits. All seem to be doing just fine.
