So i recently looked in my tank and all of the sudden I have a diatom bloom. What is the best way to get rid of it? I have a clean up crew of about 5 hermit crabs, 1 emerit crab, 2 turbo snails, 2 shrimp cleaners and 1 nassarius snail. How can I get this under control?

Yes, I have done a water change.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Omar

Time, diatoms are cause by silicate in the water collumn.
All you need to give it is time if we talking diatoms.

Any pics of that diatom, FTS?
How long is your tank running?

@Diesel Thank you. The tank has been running for about two months. What is FTS?

@cloak yes. Using RO/DI water.

Diatoms are just a step into a more mature tank. Don't worry too much about it :)
I would not worry too much about silicates in the water either, you should have silicates in the water. When other algae comes, like coralline algae, they will outcompete the diatoms for space.
Every time you put in a new clean surface/substrate in the tank, they will be among the first thing to appear on that surface.
