Diatoms forming

So my dry rock has started to for little brown spots all over them which I believe to be diatoms. It is starting to form on the glass as well. Is this something I need to try to eradicate or should I just leave it be? Thanks for the advice everyone!

Assuming this is a new system, leave it be, if you're using clean water to mix with it will pass as your system matures.

Agreed, if a new cycling tank its all part of the brown ugly cycle. It'll pass you can also use a clean up crew that will help it as well. What type of water flow do you have moving over the rocks... if its good it'll help keep the gunk from building up on the rocks.
