Hey guys. Have a roughly 6 month old tank that is doing very well except for the fact that in the last 3 weeks I’ve been battling diatoms, or at least that’s what I’m thinking they are based on others photos and measurements here. mine are below, taking by my self and confirmed with LFS.

PO4- .05
NO3- 0

I’m assuming the low levels are causing this issue and would like your opinion if possible. Thinking I will feed more to raise these levels, and add turbo start or dr tims to help the existing BB battle out theDiatoms. Also a few days with the lights off. Would really appreciate any insight you pros have!

Got a picture? Daitoms are usually nothing to worry about, they will go away once your tank matures. If it's something else like dinos that's a different story

Busy day and didn’t get a chance to take a picture before I left for work. Followed my LFS advice and turned off DT lights, fuge light, and slimmer last night( will remain off for 3 days). Added a bottle of dr Tim’s. Came home from work and the tank is super cloudy with a brown tint in normal room lighting. Added an air stone to provide more oxygen for the fish since skimmer is off. Tank kinda stinks as well. On the bright side, sand looks very clean and no more brown spots. Does this sound familiar at all to anyone?
