Diatoms help?

How do I get rid of diatoms? I know you can scoop them up off the sand but how do I make it to where they don’t come back? I’m working on getting a RO/DI unit when money is better. Until then, any tips?

Phosphate-removing filtration media like GFO and activated alumina will also remove silicates. Otherwise, just wait it out.

Agree with Kitten, it's a waiting game. So long as you're putting in 0 tds water that is.
