What do you do/did do?

As my tank is going through it’s cycle and diatoms start to pop up on the rocks and sand. Do you leave it alone and let it runs it course- do you blow it off /stir the sand? Start to add cuc?

I just let it go till it dies off. I usually have conchs that I think eat it, but regardless it will go away (as long as you don't use tap water).

I second the posts above. I just left them alone, and let my snails work on them a bit. Eventually, they just went away on their own. I would only clean them off the front glass from time to time when my view was getting too foggy/obscured.

I clean them off glass and siphon off bedding. Rest I leave for clean up crew
Everyone’s going to have their own best method based on how meticulous they are,

Makes sense- usually I leave it alone and just clean the glass. Do you run normal lighting schedule and your protein skimmer? What about your uv?

looking to add first inhabitants this weekend
