Diatoms or Dino? New tank help...

Tank is relatively new but cycled with Dr. Tim's and fish. Numbers are consistent. I know diatoms pop up but the sand is covered and the rocks are bubbling now. Dry rock was used when starting the tank. My zoas aren't opening up any longer...so I'm concerned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 5ppm

Your dry rock is likely fueling the algae. Your phosphate level may tell you whats going on. A lot of the time dry rock will leach phosphate until it equalizes and or is consumed.
At this point, its a waiting game. New tank syndrome sometimes can last upwards of a year when the curator is constantly tweaking trying to get algae to go away.
Let it run its course....you may need to use something like GFO or LC.

At this point you can stop testing ammonia and nitrite as it seems your biofilter is already established enough not to worry.
