What do you think. At first I was thinking it was new tank diatoms but I'm starting to consider that it might be Dinos

99% sure that's Dinoflagellates. They look slimy with some extension with the air bubble under the algae, diatoms look more like sand and can be blown away with a turkey baster and the air is usually on the top.

Ok dinos? Best way to get rid of them. High ph and hydrogen peroxide dosing? Any other suggestions on getting rid of them. I'm gonna switch to a 3 hour light cycle to thin it out

I get rid of my Dino by cutting off my halides... Still used my actnics, stopped weekly water changes, and did my top offs with kalkwasser. Attacked Dino directly .. Took a little bit but it worked... Dino can be very frustrating! If you see snails or fish dying take them out as soon as possible they will help the Dino bloom.. good luck!!

Just an update on the situation. Lights out on the tank for 24 hours. Fuzzy growth from algae on rocks is completely gone. Zero bubbles coming off rocks and what was on the sand is almost completely gone. The rock is still brown in color but not as brown.

Keep an eye on your skimmer, its going to be working overtime until you turn the lights back on.

Thats where all the die off of your algae and Dinos are going.
