I have recently set up a 45 gallon cube(started Sept.18) and currently have some diatoms hanging around and a bit of hair algae, but this morning I noticed something different. There are slimy strings of algae, some are brownish and some are clear/whitish. I'm probably just being paranoid but I'm worried that they are dinos. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Oh cool.

You can help them out too but hitting it with a tooth brush. They'll have a tough time with the bid stuff unles there's a lot of them.

If you have some Po4 in the water , you can run a little gfo and it'll help pull out the silicate. I did mine in a sock on the return pump. Few table spoons , then I just add another the next week.
