Diatoms still on my plants

I had a diatom problem my tank is about 3 months old most of the diatoms are gone except in the sand and on my kelp smooth leaf and shaving brush plants. Can I clean these plants? If so how do I do it?

Just shake them gently or brush with your fingers. Diatoms will come off very easily. However, they usually will be back within 24 hours until the limiting nutrient (silicates) is all used up.

thank you for the advise i will do that until they are all gone they are clearing up pretty good now just left on plants an a little bit in sand,
