Diatoms?

I’ve been struggling with what appears to be a diatom bloom. Tanks been up and running since February, so it’s not a cycle bloom. Been dosing Dr. Time Waste Away for about a week with no success. Done water changes, did a 3 day blackout and it came right back. Parameters are...
Nitrate 5ppm
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Phosphate 0.1
Salinity 1.23
Ph 7.8

Any suggestions as to what is going on or how to fix it? Appreciate it

I am, it’s probably been 6 months

Have you checked the TDS of the new RO water? I neglected mine and this was the result. I finally after a couple months have it gone.

No I haven’t but I will once the TDS meter arrives

Yea it will certainly help. If you make a build thread it will help people better understand your issues. The TDS is for sure an issue but it’s very likely there other issues that will appear after the tds is managed. This isn’t a fix all solution but will help you navigate the next phase
