Okay I need some serious help here!!

I have my my 25 gallon AIO tank, and it is constantly being taken over by this dumb kelp!!
I have two clownfish, and a cleaner shrimp along with my cleanup crew. I have a protein skimmer and am doing my weekly maintenance, as well as all my levels are within normal. I have an AI Prime light running and mostly Zoas and LPS which are now being blocked by the kelp. I have scrubbed and done my best to keep zero nitrates and I am not sure what else to do!! Anyone survived this kelp before?? Thanks!!

You have a way to kill it with peroxide it’s highly sensitive to it

Your lysmsta shrimp is the sensitive organism to peroxide nothing else in the tank would be a concern

The peroxide isn’t dosed to the water, it’s applied externally during rock detailing work like a dentist would perform on a bad tooth/direct and with scraping tools. The way you handle it is to pick up a section of infected rock and remove for test modeling.

While outside the tank sitting on counter, take a steak knife not a brush, and use the tip to dig out anchor points making the rock free of algae via metal and with point detailing like a dentist, scrape and pick and target that section or the whole rock clean, leave the rest in the tank untouched as comparison

Once your test rock or test section is clear via knife work, apply peroxide to the former anchor spots and let it sit a couple mins cooking. Don’t bathe the rock just peroxide the old anchor spots you’ve rasped away. Rinse this test area/test rock off in saltwater so no peroxide rides back in

Replace rock and observe it, you know the current growback phase by already manually clearing. Now you can compare the burned model and see if it stays away. If it lasts longer clean or totally stays clean, do the whole tank in sections via external work

Pls take pics if you do test modeling we have a large thread of works we would include this in

Welcome to rtr :) it would be a neat first post to totally fix up your system
