Did I hurt my Nepthea?

Hello everyone!

Today I was doing a water change on my frag qt tank just using the hosing from a small python to give me more suction to remove the built up detritus. My tank is bare bottom and I've notice the light bouncing off the bottom has lead to a few corals growing in abstract ways... My nepthea included, has grown pretty much completely sideways, so much so that when I turn off the filter it touches the bottom. Unfortunately II got a little to close and sucked up the top of my poor nepthea, I panicked for a moment so it was probably getting pulled for just over a second before I remembered to just kink the hose. It retracted as is usually does when I bother it but the part that was in the hose seemed unable to close up as much as the rest as you can see in the pic below.

I know they are hardy but I haven't seen stretched like that before and Its my favourite coral by far so figured there would be no harm in asking. Thanks in Advance!

Should bounce right back especially if it was healthy+

I think it will be fine. Doesn’t look like any damage happened. Did it spew out any liquid? I tore one once and it immediately deflated but came back like nothing happened.

I'm glad to hear that! There was no tearing thankfully and it is in good health (after defeating some black bugs a few weeks ago). I feel really bad because over the last week it just started to open and shed like it was before and then I do this to it ;Dead
