Did I just receive a coral skeleton??

So I just got my order in from LiveAquaria (not my whole order but that’s another story).

I ordered my first pavona maldivensis, and I swear that all I have is a bright white skeleton of a dead coral. Is this what they look like from shipping or did it expire in transit and lose all its flesh?

It was sealed. The clam bag leaked really bad but this one was in tact. I’m guessing it was the heat. I didn’t get it until 7pm, so all day on a hot UPS truck.

If it died on the way to you, it would be typically brown and stinky. I’d contact them

I submitted an arrive alive claim (Have to do it same day). I do see some color inside the corallites, so who knows?
