Did I just wreck my tank?

I was algae scraping to get a couple pics of this acan(?) in the corner when some of the silicone came right out as well. There's plastic trim on the outside that might help hold glass together, and I haven't seen any leakage yet after 5-10 minutes. Naturally it came out right in the center of the seam.

I'd say ignore the algae, but the problem happened when I was trying to take care of it

I watched an experiment on Youtube covering exactly the subject of scraping against the silicone joints and the potential for leaks. Dude cut and scraped and did all he could except for forcing a blade through the joint entirely and he did not manage to make it leak. He was testing the theory that scraping against the joints and damaging the bead is dangerous to the tank. The result was no, he could not force a leak by doing that.

good to hear. I figured there would be some residual silicone in the seams, but given that it's my only cycled salt tank, I was concerned
