Was cleaning the glass and the magnetic scrubber fell right on my torch, and a couple tiny polyps fell off. Is this just what happens when torches take a heavy hit or is this a sign of an unhealthy torch?
Salinity 1.022
Ph 7.9
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Can’t test calc etc at the moment but everything else is fine.

watch it but also I would probably increase the salinity to at least 1.024. Any reason you are running it so low?

Should have mentioned I’m slowly increasing it over about a week or so, had some severe salt creep I didn’t see for awhile..!

I hope so, have you had something similar happen ? I got such a good price on it it can’t die lol
Yeah, I've got a few wrasses that routinely cover the area where my torches reside with a fine layer of sand. Every now and then when I baste the area to blow it off I'll blow a tiny polyp off in the process.
