Did i killed my new frag??

Just brought this guy home from the LSF, i did a hydrogen peroxide dip and it seems to have bleached it. Im regretting this already.... Do you think this frag has a chance??? It was a nice orange pink color sorry if this is a dumb question still pretty green in the hobby.

Leave it in the tank and see if it recovers flesh. While some corals can tolerate diluted peroxide dips... SPS and corals with less flesh do not tolerate it well.

Well thats probably the issue i did a 3% dip and didnt diluted the peroxide... uhg frustrating

I dipped a Mummy's eye chalice once (Never again) in hydrogen peroxide trying to kill GHA and it immediately expelled a bunch of its zooxanthalae, I thought I killed it, it was peeved for weeks but slowly recovered and doubled in size.

You should have a good chance at recovery.

I have used peroxide successfully on some zoas and palys, but it killed my stereonepthea and not good on many lps either. I keep it to a min.

I never dip anything except zoas or palys with h2o2. The others I just will maybe put some h2o2 on the plugs after cleaning them, then put in tank. The stereonepthea were too close to the zoas.

Leave it be and it may recover. Use iodine (lugols) or coral rx, revive to do a normal dip.

I have dipped most of my zoa frags 5 minutes undiluted with no problems.
It just doesn't work on all corals.
I'm just lucky my mummy recovered.

You only add enough to tank 3 percent to tank water so it bubbles slightly. Usually this is a few ml per cup of tank water.

Works well on zoa's and some LPS that can close up tight.

Never pure 3% and never SPS. Probably never encrusters either.

just found out the hard way on this same type of lepto

Lepto turns white when stressed. How long has it been like that? Mine ususlly gets it's color back within a few hours.
