OK, here's some background. I have a 120 gallon reef, it has just finished a 5 month cycle and I added the first corals around 1-1.5 weeks ago, I have a crown leather, green sinulaira, a duncan colony and a leptastrea, all have been open (except for the leather, you know how they are) and I noticed my alk was a bit low (7 dkh) and so was my calcium (330 ish) so, since I have two LPS colonies I of course wanted to raise that, I have been dosing and now it's at 9 dkh and 480 calcium, though I got to that in only two days. While the duncan and leptastrea are open, I'm a bit concerned on any effects this may have later on (ie coral bleaching or polyp bailout because of rapid change). And while I'm pretty sure that this won't have any major side effects, I need to hear your thoughts.

Thank you.

1dkh in a day isn't terrible. Many heavy SPS folks experience that. Think of the consumption rate during photo period vs lights out. But, the more stable, the better. So I wouldn't make a habit of it.
