Did I miss the Diatom Bloom?

Did I luck out and miss out on the diatom bloom?

To soon to tell?

40B has been running since Feb 18 w/ no lights on. Fishless cycled with Dr. Tim’s and shrimp in the tank for a few days and have been ghost feeding flakes since.

Currently: (0) Ammonia (0) Nitrite (10) Nitrate

I started running the fuge light for (6) hrs a night last week when I received my AlgaeBarn start-up package and do show diatom growth on the glass in a few spots just in the fuge.

The protein skimmer has been ran off and on for several hours a day when I’m off work since last week.

Glass/bottom hasn’t been cleaned and haven’t performed a water change, yet
