Tank has been cycling we watch numbers go up then drop, now we are at zero everything . Should I add something.

Tank is 2 months old, 35 gallon , 2 clown 3 snails and 2 crabs 1, baslett and one engineer goby, every one seems happy eating, salinity is 35

Also started with a established bio wheel and live rock from another tank

If your tank has happy fish then your certainly cycled and testing of ammonia is no longer required. API tests are not overly sensitive.

Not sure what you want to add, corals?

If so you can try a softy and see how it goes.

Then the cycle would be virtually instantaneous.

This is a project my daughter is doing for school, her goal is to add a few star fish. So no corals because the star fish she wants are not reef safe

Except for serpent stars and brittle stars, others die fast in the captive reef aquaria,environment.

Those ones better left in the sea.

Really never understood why these are sold.
