I've had zoas in my 75g tank for several years, but most of the time they've been hidden from view by a mass of xenia. I've finally trimmed some xenia back, and I'm adding a few more zoas now too. Anyway, I'm obviously not a zoa specialist, but thought I'd ask some of you guys who are to tell me what you think of this rock I picked up today for $19.

Does anyone know if the zoas in either colony have a common "hobby" name?

The top one would have to be a little clearer to tell...it almost looks like it may be a ringed people eater of some type...when the polyps close is there stripes on the outside? Don't know about the other one, but for more info you can go to:

you can look at the photos and compare them to what you have in your tank....prepare to be dazzled though. Very nice zoas....

Thanks for the link Ladipyg! Great site. From what I'm seeing there, most of the ones in my second pic have got to be Dragon Eye. Not sure about the first pic yet.

OK, the ones in the first pic REALLY look like Eye of Rah to me. What do you guys think about these ID's?

The ones in the second pic are definately dragon eyes. Not sure about the first pic though.

Here's a slilghtly better pic of the first colony -- the one I got for $19. I'm working on my camera skills.
Anyway, the colony obviously has two color morphs. The ones to the right in the pic resembles Eye of Rah to me, not sure about the ones to the left.
