Cant see much talk about Classical music, surely im not the only Classical freak on here?????

Someone mentioned Tool’s new album earlier on this thread. I actually downloaded it and listened to almost all of it. It’s classic Tool and was really good. As with most of their stuff, you need to listen to it a few times just to get the gist of it.

Admittedly, I haven't listed to the new album in full. I have listed to two or three singles, and they just don't do it for me anymore I guess. In the days of Aenima , Lateralus, 10,000 days, I was mesmerised. That stuff was awesome. I guess my tastes have changed.

Mainly just listen to the old stuff on the radio in the car. rock /southern rock / soft rock. So many great bands back then, even great one hit wonder bands.Remember Gerry Rafferty? and his songs, Right down the line and baker street, great songs. Wheres the new bands???

Foo Fighters did a great cover of Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street"

I love music from the 70’s 80’s 90’s and early 2000’s. Smashing pumpkins, The Cure, Tool, At The Drive In, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Thrice, to name a few. But I struggle to find anything in the past 10-15 years that grabs me. I have an Apple Music account and I can’t find anything to listen to. Maybe I’m getting old (probably). Did music go downhill or am I just aging? ;Meh

Don’t worry bro. They will alway have plenty of extra cd’s laying around the warehouse for you in case you can’t find anything to listen to.

Important safety tip - NEVER sit in the front rows.

Being in concert sound for years, the best seat in the house is by the FOH (Front of House) engineer the guy(s) mixing music usually out in the middle of the audience. I was on tour and happened to come through my hometown and got passes for my brother & his fiance. They asked why they sat with by our FOH engineer and not in front rows, his reply
" You'ld surrender your hearing for 3 days to me for sitting there".
I've got permanent white noise.

I have similar tastes, and I've found that metal in Northern Europe is alive and well.

Somewhere here, there’s a Kenny G megafan that you hurt ;Hilarious

I was thinking I was the only one to listen to classical.
Are you serious about it or just like the tunes?

Try to get to this live whenever I can at the local symphony . Amazing piece of work

My youngest boy was watching a kids program that was teaching and playing Tchaikovsky. It is great stuff and my son loved it.

I played in super junk punk bands. We were horrible but everyone loved us. Afterwards I met a guy who was a guitar player in a band called Treacherous Jaywalkers from the Bay Area. He played guitar for them. They even opened for Nirvana. He helped me record some music videos. I’ll never share them here. Well, maybe one day.
Let's jam! Lol

You are just aging. There is a lot of fantastic music being produced today, some of it is on the radio, but most is more niche.
