Did my corals just like this power outage?

Has anyone else had a similar experience? The power went out for about 7 hours and the temperature has dropped down to about 71. Power outage happened at 8:30 ish, when the tanks normally go dark. When I woke up in the morning, everything was plump and expanded with feeding tentacles all happy and colorful. In the next hour after I turned the generator on and got everything going again, things still look super happy and it seems like the tanks are somehow better off than usual. This is the second time this has happened in the last couple of months and so I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone else I've had this experience and if anyone has any ideas why this might be? Maybe it mimics brief cold swings that happen naturally in the ocean?

Strange.....at that temp my corals would be mad at me....

Are you sure they just aren't happy that everything is back to normal and upset with themselves for taking advantage of stable parameters ? Those type of temperature swings normally don't happen on a reef so I am not sure why everything looks so happy. Whatever the reason,I would defiantly be happy of your outcome. If it was me, I would have had a tankful of RTN SPS lol.

It's a sign you have too much flow. With no flow the corals were happier. I would change the amt of flow and lower it
