Did my hammer coral die?

My hammer coral has never fully extended itself. This morning it is completely gone. Do they do this or is it dead? I have 2 FluvalSmart marine light bars set at 100% blues and about 40% white. All the other corals seem to be doing ok, except a montipr that my hermits are pestering. Thank you

That hammer is dead unfortunately. It looks like total polyp bailout. What are your parameters? Tank age?
That light as well, I've used it in the past and I felt that it was not able to produce the proper lighting required for keeping stony corals.

tank is about 4 months old, perameters are:
salt 1.025
Ph 7.4
Nitrate 40
Nitrite 0
Ammonia0
Gh 180
Kh 120
Calcium 480
Phosphate .5
tank is a 40 gallon breeder

Phosphate is way high at .5, should be more like 0.05-0.15.
Nitrate is high, should be 2-10ppm
Alk is low in my thinking, should be 140-170ppm
I don’t think your lighting pushes enough PAR for LPS, definitely not enough for SPS, but your lighting should be ok for softies.
Tank does not look stable enough for long term success in LPS or SPS, a good sign of when to add corals is when you see coralline algae starting to show.

I do have coralline algae growing. I am unsure why the nitrate is so high, last time it was 0. The phosphate also had been 0. Unsure why the increase. The other corals including the frogspawn seem to be growing. I will do a water change and hopefully that will lower the nitrate and phosphate
