Shrimp generally spawn near midnight, so I guess it is likely, but again nobody will be able to answer this, unless a picture ( I know, probably impossible), or more information is given.

Yeah those look like baby shrimp!! Nice! Mine have done the same in the past but I've not had luck with them growing up to a significant size I think they end up eaten.
