Two Saturdays days ago I did a three gallon water change and rearranged my 29g tank. I have corals like zoas, torch, hammer, gsp, a chalice, a leather, acans and two types of brains. I only handled the gsp a lot scrubbing the rock they were on to get some hair algae off. Didn't notice getting anything in my eye but all day Sunday my eye was bothering me. Woke up Monday morning with what I thought was pink eye, a fever, chills and a really bad headache. Went to the doctor he also thought I had pink eye, and a ear infection (same side as the eye, in fact that whole side of my face and head felt infected. ) he gave me pink eye drops and antibiotics. Nothing got better in the next few day and I was back at the doctor Wednesday with a 104 fever chills and horrible headaches. He was stumped and said I had a virus that needed to run its course. Eye didn't start looking better Saturday then I started feeling better. Didn't have any breathing problems or chest pains. Has anyone had any similar stories? Do you think it was my tank?

Bacteria can enter your bloodstream by means of a cut but it truly does sound like you had a nasty virus. Sounds like your doctor was covering all of the bases by giving you antibiotics. Glad you are feeling a little better.
Personally I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was something from inside the tank. You could be allergic! I've read plenty about peoples having same symptoms as you've described. You were wearing gloves right?
