Hey just replaced my 100 gpd ro/di membrane tonight and the unit is now producing double if not triple the amount it has in years! Psi fluctuates between 100 and 50. It used to produce 5 gallons in an hour and a half and now does it in 40 mins! I checked it with my tds and it reads out zero! This is great but what is weird is that if you do the math this equals out to about 165 to 170 gallons per day from a 100 gpd unit. Anyone know if just replacing the membrane caused this or had this experience before?? Thanks

Never seen this happening.
Did you put it in the right way?

Did you replace any of the other filters? I've seen a pretty nice bump in performance if I haven't swapped out my sediment filter in a while. I'd check, as others have suggested, that everything is seated correctly. But if all of the filters were well past their time, you could see a good bump after replacing them.

You can plug in your water temperature and your water pressure into our calculator and see how fast your membrane should produce water. If it is much faster than what the calculator output then you probably have an issue.

But comparing current production to your old production doesn't really tell you anything because your old membrane could have been heavily scaled for instance.

Check the TDS of your feedwater, and of your RO (not DI) water, and calculate your rejection rate. Is it close to spec?
