Hey guys, I was just wondering if you did anything tank related this weekend?
I myself spent saturday afternoon switching out my old phone and skimmer for a new sump fuge as well as a larger skimmer. I also managed to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and was able to perform hey water change at the same time along with doing all of the regular maintenance so my tank looks spectacular.

what did you do for our fine watery friends?

I did! I was on call all weekend and stuck at my computer. So I virtually built my display tank all trimmed out. I was not sure how the whole thing was going to go together as far as panels, hinges, mounting tabs, measurments etc. So I figured hey why not juat make a 3D blue print. Now I have all the measurements and could foresee any possible issues in my plan.

kalgra I would like to see a build thread here if you don't have one started! :D

Tank related for me was topping off the top of tank! LOL!

Looks nice!

I setup ATOs on my remaining two Nanos. No more manually filling!

Set up the fish trap to catch my orange spotted rabbit who very quickly grew from 3" to 10". I found a new home for him in a 450.

I did my regularly scheduled maintenance and tried to find a few more vermetid snails to kill off. Hate those things....

Also ordered some LED to supplement my T5 and ordered up an arch from alternative reef. Pretty exceited!

I just thought about doing some work on my tanks. DIDN"T HAPPEN!!!!

Always fishy stuff on the weekends! :)

not fun:

I did all the water changes....ugh lol

fun:

For FW - re-scaped planted FW tank and added several moss mats. Also turned a coconut shell into a sweet moss cave.
For SW - went coral crazy. Got some Euphyllia :) Torch & frogspawn. Also got a deal to good to pass up on a yuma ricordea.

biggest mistake of the weekend:

Killed some fragspawn accidentally by trying to snap a branch without a cutting tool. Head disintegrated in my hand :( Lesson: stop being cheap and buy a dremel!

Did my first water change on the tank with focus on siphonong the suspected dinos out and added a carbon reactor, no more putrid yellow tint I thought my cheapy MH's we
re putting off, so success!

In addition to our normal maintenance routine, we spent a couple of hours rearranging and trimming back some coral colonies in the middle and right sections of our tank.
