My wife is a closet reefer she picks out the fish and now coral. I think I created a monster

Some, shes still not fully extended, but at least not completely retracted anymore. We changed out the light which seemed to be a lot brighter and think that may have been the issue. We have been slowly ramping down the intensity.

I find that elegance likes a more lower flow. Could be the problem

We finally did it! Hard to see since not much there, but it's a start!

Can you find the corals? ;Hilarious

Elly is doing much better in the cube. Wish my 120 looked like that pic now but we'll get it under control.

Sounds like the vibrant may have caused a bacteria bloom. Skimmer set to wet may help along with uv

What did you end up going with?
The cloudiness doesn't stand a chance with UV hooked up.
How are phosphates looking?
I basicly just went through same thing in tank 2.
Super scrubbed all rock and rinsed in 5 gallon water change water.
Hooked up the UV
Overdosed Phosphates to .1(intentionally)
Super cleaned all surfaces with 5 micron sock on overflows in sump
Let it clear.
Siphoned the rest of tank through 5 micron sock back to sump.
Uglies haven't come back and pretty sure they won't.

I went with the Jebao PU-55 55W UV Pond Sterilizer
Po4=.03
No3=5

Once its hooked up I'll start getting stuff cleaned up.

Finally got the UV setup Sunday night and been running since then. Basement stinking to no end but the tank is clearing up. Got the saltwater mixing tank cleaned out and rinsed thoroughly and I've got 160 gal of salt water for water changes.

Had my first real flood issue Sunday in the fish room. I was filling the ATO for the frag tank and walked away. Got caught up in conversation upstairs and forgot about it. By the time i went back down, I had pumped about 50gal of water or so into a 10 gallon container (what an idiot)!!!

48 hours with UV, half a roll of fleece and carbon bag swap and we can see the rockscape again
The picture above showed cloudy but it got so bad before I put the UV on that we couldn't even see the rock in the tank.
Much happier tank now..

Sorry about the flood man. Very first thing I did during upgrade was forget I was filling new brute top off can. Its only probably the 5th time I flooded. Luckily I had carpet ripped out this time haha.

Thx Man! Yes is a little clearer today so looking great. Water just created a big mess for me but just a wet/dry vac and time and alls good.

Good Morning Folks!
Trying to dial in the 120 but the Eclipse L overflow box is way to loud.

Not the Bean Animal setup but the water coming from the tank side to the external side is like a water fall.

Anyone see any issues with using this in the tank side besides the obvious need to clean from time to time.
I put some in but its a tight fit and I dont want to stuff it all the way down so I can get it back out if needed
It does restrict the flow a bit so it raised the water line about 1/8 in in the tank.

I'm sitting in my office and I can hear it out in the living room. It sounds like its overflowing and really stressing me out.

Hi, You say in this thread that you have a bean animal in your Eshopps Eclipse L overflow. I am trying to do that now but the area inside the overflow doesn't allow me to fit 2 90-degree pipe turns without covering the next hole. How did you work out the space for a bean animal? Can you take a picture of yours?
