Difference between Aragonite and Special Grade?

Anyone know the difference between:

1. CaribSea Aragonite Aquarium Sand - https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/caribsea-aragonite-aquarium-sand-10-lbs-2153529
2. CaribSea Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand - https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/caribsea-seaflor-special-grade-reef-sand-substrate

I'm trying to figure out why the special grade sand is twice the price. (and if special grade is worth paying for)

Umm.....

I don't know if you noticed, but the price difference in the 2 you posted, would be size of the bag. ones a 10 pound bag, the other is a 40 pound bag.

I'm not 100% sure on the difference, but I know the special grade is a little finer for more of the sand dwelling creatures.

They are both right about the same price. The Arroganite is on sale right now for 50% off which brings a 10# bag to $5.39(regularly $9.99 - right now on sale is $0.53 a pound). The seaflor is $41.44 for a 40# bag($4.14 a pound).

If not on sale, both are right about $4.00 a pound.

Thanks... Yeah I noticed they're different pound bags.
However, I'm pretty sure the $5.39 bag is always "on sale."

I emailed Caribsea and got no reply.
So a couple days ago I called them, and finally got a response.

The 1. CaribSea Aragonite Aquarium Sand - https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/caribsea-aragonite-aquarium-sand-10-lbs-2153529 is a special blend that they pack ONLY for petco. It's a little finer grade than the Seaflor Special Grade.

Figured I would post a follow-up in case anyone has the same question and searches for this thread in the future
