Difference between Blue Agave and Salted Agave

Hi!

I recently purchased Seduction Paly, Blue Agave, Wild Blue Agave and Salted Agave.

I could tell the difference of Seduction Paly from others. However, I can't tell the difference between

Blue Agave, Wild Blue Agave and Salted Agave (both bought from Cherry Corals not sure why they added "wild").

Is there an easy way to tell the difference between these agaves?

wild could just mean that they were 1st generation, not much tank life in them, as for the salted I believe it supposed to have more white

The first salted agaves came from Cornbred. They're a Tongan variant of People Eater vs most of the agave morphs that come from Hawaii.

While both are very similar, hopefully you can see the subtle differences.

in my experiance salted agave is a young blue agave as they get older the speckles turn into blotches

Thanks a lot for the nice pictures! It looks to me the difference comes from the core and inner plate color! The blue agaves are darker! Is that right?

Very little difference, IMO salted's look better.

Salted Agave does not have the blue center, only red and white.

I could see the difference! Cherry Coral sent to me two frags. One is supposed to be salted agave and the other blue agave.
However, when I saw them, both have the blue center. Now I conclude that by mistake the Cherry Coral sent me two blue agave frags!

They are the same coral, just different lighting. Move your agaves around your tank and you can make a morph too.

The CB Salted Agaves and blue agaves are almost a night and day difference for me. I think the problem is that some vendors are labeling blue agaves as salted agaves and that's why people are having a hard time distinguishing between the two.

IMO, There is only two different kinds of polyps like those, the original blue agaves and red halos. Everything else is just morphs or pics of one of those two in different lighting.
